As a founding partner, Brian has more than 20 years of professional experience in public and private industry, government and consulting sector work. Serving as the company’s subject matter expert, Brian manages public- and private-sector uncontaminated soil, clean construction demolition debris (CCDD) and environmental due-diligence projects throughout Illinois and across the nation. He brings experience and established relationships with state and local regulators to True North and boasts a proven track record of securing state and federal grant funds for clients. In addition, he has extensive experience assisting clients with meeting the environmental requirements of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and United States Agricultural Department (USDA) governmental lending programs.
Brian oversees all business development and marketing functions for True North. Prior to starting True North, he worked as an environmental consultant for more than seven years, including four years as an industrial hygienist for both the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and private industry. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay with distinction (Summa Cum Laude) and his Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from Indiana University’s prestigious School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
Maintaining a high profile within the environmental community, Brian is a board member of the Clean Fill Division for the Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP); a board member for the Sustainability Council of the Illinois Road Transportation Builders Association (IRTBA); and an active member of the Underground Contractors Association (UCA) of Illinois, Great Lakes Construction Association (GLCA), Chicagoland Associated General Contractors (CAGC) and American Public Works Association (APWA).
