We like to keep community front of mind

At True North Consultants, we believe in aligning our resources with our social values. Whether through our annual Charity Challenge or through employees who volunteer their time and talents to local charities or just the support we provide one another on a daily basis, True North Consultants believes that building a sustainable environment starts with grounding ourselves within our most valuable resource: our community. This belief is so fundamental to who we are that it is eternalized as one of our core values – Passion for People.

Every year this commitment shines through when we celebrate a Give Back Day where we close down offices and head out into the community to serve those in need. Over the years our support has included several Habitat for Humanity work days, Salvation Army bell ringing, Make A Wish events and contributions to Food Bank initiatives.

Our marquee event: The Charity Challenge

True North Consultants established the Charity Challenge to raise awareness of the very important charitable organizations that serve our communities and to provide an opportunity for our clients, vendors and partners to support their favorite charities during the annual NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. All participants pick brackets and choose one of the 13 partnered charitable organizations that they favor. At the end of the Tournament, True North makes a donation to the partnered charity selected by the winning participant.

The Charity Challenge exposes all the partnered charitable organizations to over 300 individuals and/or businesses each year through our event website. Since 2009, the Charity Challenge has donated over $20,000 to the selected partnered charities. Just this past year, True North was pleased to present $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago in recognition of their selection as our 10th Annual Charity Challenge recipient. True North is proud to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago as they provide emotional, educational, physical, and cultural resources to Chicago’s youth that allow them to enjoy their childhood and thrive in adulthood.
