True North was contracted to assist with environmental issues encountered during redevelopment of a county-owned and operated rehabilitation center. During excavation activities at the property, True North encountered demolition debris from the former structure, destroyed by fire in the 1970s. Debris included co-mingled asbestos and hazardous wastes.
True North was able to profile six different waste streams from this project within days of being contracted and managed the segregation of the material for landfill disposal as excavation activities proceeded. True North also provided underground storage tank removal services for a tank encountered during the excavation. Because of True North’s timely response, the site was successfully redeveloped with minimal delays.
