True North worked with a developer to help acquire and redevelop existing commercial properties. True North performed Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and determined that one of the sites had once been a gas station that caused extensive soil contamination.
Based on the results of the ESAs, the developer was able to negotiate a reduced price for the property. True North was then able to secure a Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Brownfield Grant in the amount of $290,000 to assist in addressing the soil contamination during site redevelopment activities. True North provided coordination and oversight of contaminated soil removal during redevelopment as the project moves toward becoming a mixed-use commercial/apartment building with underground parking.
